The Burger, Redefined
Tapac24
Tapac24
Tapac24 is an extraordinary restaurant, serving both traditional and reinterpreted tapas from one of Barcelona’s most talented chefs, Carles Abellan, formerly of the legendary El Bulli. The gambitas (head-on prawns) are unbelievably succulent, and the cod croquettes are a salty, crispy masterpiece. But it’s the brilliant McFoie Burger, a cheeky take on fast food, that makes this a meal mandatory for any burger lover or foodie. The beef “patty” is an exquisite piece of meat, as rare, light and tender in the center as a tartare, and is encased in a perfectly crispy “bun” that acts more like a shell than a bread. But the coup de grace is the foie gras-mayo dipping sauce, a deeply creamy, umami-powered miracle sauce you’ll want to put on everything you eat, forever.
