The Volstead

Curated by Geoffrey Holloway, Renaissance Navigator

The Volstead restaurant is named after Andrew J. Volstead, the congressmen who banned beer in the city. But the restaurant, ironically, has a wide variety of cocktails, spirits and liquor. A chandelier at the entrance makes the restaurant look very stylish. Once you enter you will find bouncers patrolling around, and music that is, at times, just a tad too loud for your ears. But you can escape much of it in the classy lounge area which offers quieter food and drinks.
