Jennifer Portuhondo

When she was just 11 years old, Jennifer visited New York City. Coming from a small town in the Dominican Republic, the scale and excitement of the place amazed her. Stood in Times Square with her aunt during that trip, she said to her “One day, I’ll live and work here”. Her aunt may have simply passed it off as a bit of youthful enthusiasm, a passing thought. Fast forward to the present: Jennifer’s living and working in New York City, and her enthusiasm hasn’t dampened yet. Jennifer relishes the role of Navigator and the freedom it gives her to be herself. With her work, she’s able to indulge her passion for New York food, continually finding new untapped spots. Being a generous soul, she’s doesn’t shy away from sharing her new discoveries with guests and friends, claiming she loves being the one people go to for recommendations and ideas. Although she’s crossed the doorway of some of NYCs most hip and sophisticated eateries and bars, her favorite places are the city’s rooftops, where she can take in the view that amazed her all those years ago. it’s nice to know that that 11 year old kid is still in there somewhere.
