<p>On October 21, 1921, Major General Lejeune issued the order that stated the history, mission, and tradition of the United States Marine Corps be honored each November 10th with a birthday celebration in Washington, DC. This particular date was chosen because in 1775 the Second Continental Congress raised two Marine battalions. Celebrate with us and raise a glass to our veterans.</p>
