<p>This weekend we honor Michael Collins, the Command Module pilot for the Apollo 11 moon landing. While Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin got a chance to walk on the moon’s surface, Mike stayed inside the module to “keep the motor running” and orbit the moon. Collins is said to have enjoyed this brief solitude of being truly separated from human contact. While Major General Collins eventually got to walk on the moon twice during other Apollo trips he should be equally honored and respected for the integral role he held in the Apollo 11 landing… to quote an American folk song about Collins...</p>
