<p>In Cripple Creek, Colorado 125 years ago the Root Beer Float was created by tavern and gold mine owner Frank Wisner. He looked up at the snow capped Rocky Mountains and was inspired to add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to a pint glass of root beer. This week Marriott Hotels across the United States and Canada will be participating in this national anniversary by selling root beer floats with a portion of each sale going to the Children’s Miracle Network. Our hotel’s earnings will go specifically to Children’s National Medical Center located right here, in Washington, DC.</p>
